When Nolan’s mom emailed me to set up our session, she described him as a little boy whose eyes would make your heart melt.  I would have to say she was spot on about that!  He had the most beautiful blue eyes, and the sweetest personality–such a pleasure to photograph.  He was on the move all afternoon, and didn’t seem to tire at all even though we were in some intense midday sun.  (Truth be told I think mom and I collapsed on our respective sofas when we returned home!)  Oh to be young again…..

Meet the cutest little lad in the Twin Cities!  I have known his mom for a few years now, and can honestly say she is an absolutely glowing momma.  And who wouldn’t be with a baby boy like that?  Thanks for a fun afternoon Colleen–can’t wait to do it again!

Wednesday morning I met up with Audrey, and her mom Lisa, to explore a local nature park.  We found a bridge, some railroad tracks, and lots of open green grass–the perfect ingredients for a photoshoot!  Before I left, I was struck with the urge to grab my victorian chair to create some interest in our images…and boy am I glad I did.  This is one of my favorite shoots of the day. Totally worth carrying it down the trail on my head.  If only someone had gotten a picture of that!

Here is my girl right before she was off to bed this evening.  This is my first attempt at backlighting, and I really think it turned out quite pretty.  When I look at this picture, I am reminded that it really IS the middle of the summer!  Have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
