Friday Fun, Session One — Minneapolis/St Paul Children’s Photographer

Almost two weeks ago I asked for some volunteers to help me out with some snow shots here in Saint Paul.  My response was phenomenal–and it all started with this adorable mother and son.  LOVE these images!  When I look at them I can still hear the laughter.  In my opinion that is what a good photograph should do…take you back right to that moment in time.  Wouldn’t you all agree?

Janet moon - These are awesome! So sharp and you captured great moments. I know how challenging it can be to do a session in the snow and you nailed it!

Caroline - Heather, I LOVE seeing your new website and amazing photos! And of course it’s a treat seeing Sarah and her little man. Just wish Virginia weren’t so far away so we could benefit from your talent!

A Winter Afternoon at Home– Minneapolis Children’s Photographer

I spent an afternoon with sweet little Patrick a few weeks ago, and captured these moments to share.  He has the most adorable expressions, I seriously think there are at least 15 different looks in these photos!  During the session I would show him the back of my camera so he could “see the baby,” which cause him to make a pucker sound (I swear he was trying to say his name) that made me giggle every time.  I love how we captured him in his room playing with whatever suited him, love how I snuck in a few shots of Mom and him reading, and my hand goes on my heart every time I see the family shot on the sofa.  We REALLY wanted to get some shots outside, but the snow was so deep (and it was so cold) that we pretty much gave up on that idea after five minutes.  Luckily I was able to get a few shots of him before we went inside.  Those blue eyes are show-stoppers don’t you agree?

This is a session that gives you a peek into day-to-day life, and I am feel so very lucky to be able to capture moments of it.

JoyfulHeart - Great job, especially pic #16 with his winter hat on and his blue eyes just popped. Great job!!!!
