We are officially at the halfway point of this project, and the year. Unbelievable! What’s even more unbelievable is that I have stuck with it. Not gotten tired of it. Not let it fall into the category of something I will try to do, no I firmly kept it in the I Will Do It pile. I know that years from now I will be very glad I did this, in fact I already am.
Week 26 was the busiest week we have had so far. There were backyard play dates, trips to the mall, trips to the pool, flat tires, new techniques on the BBQ, and trips to the Farmer’s Market. Lot’s of photos this week, and lots of journaling.
The paper kit this week is called Swampblossoms, and I swear it just might be the first digital scrapbooking kit I ever owned. (And of course had never used up until now. I tried to look it up to link, and it’s not even around anymore!) This week I closed my eyes moved the mouse all around, and told myself that whatever I landed on in my “kits” folder is what I was using.
So there you go.
Just one of the things I have found that works for me. Did you read that post yesterday? If not, check it out.
First up, the layouts side by side. I haven’t posted them like this before, but I like how it gives a good view as to what my book will look like as a whole.

Left side:

Every photo on this page is an Instagram. What can I say, I LOVE that app and I LOVE my phone! It really and truly makes it so much easier to keep up with a project like this, again something that really works for me.
My favorite photo is the black and white one of Holly in the middle. This is her attempt at a “serious face,” although I must say she looks a little more scared than anything else. On the way to our car after we left the Farmer’s Market on Saturday I saw a great alley so I bribed and begged asked Holly to stop for a photo of two.
Doesn’t it look like a vintage photo of small girl on an Italian street?
Right Side:

I really love this page. I think it really, really shows how fun our summer is thus far if you ask my daughter. Or how tiring, if you ask me.
I guess it just depends on who you are.

Kelli W - I love your photos and they look really good with the kit you chose – this is my first time on your site and I am excited to see your other posts
Rhonda - I was wondering about the sizes of your pages and elements (cards).
admin - Hi Rhonda,
My pages are 12×12, and the cards are digitally “clipped” into the Becky Higgins templates from jessicasprague.com. As stand alone cards, I think they probably print up somewhere around 3×4 inches.
