I know that for some of you today this is the first time you have visited my website and I am happy to say, Welcome! Welcome! It’s been nearly impossible to keep this secret and I am SO GLAD that today I can finally talk about it with people that are part of the Project Life community. (All but one of my “non-internet friends” is a scrapbooker–so when I try to tell people about this in real life they, sadly, have no idea what I am talking about.)
Last year was my first year using Project Life for memory-keeping and I can honestly say I was hooked from week one. I can still remember placing my first picture in template A (I’m all digital) and exclaiming to my husband how cool it was that I was going to use a digital stamp, to create a little box, so that I could type in how much my daughter loves donuts. Seriously…it was as if instantly I realized how easy it was going to be to record “the little things” that would make our album such an amazing record of our lives. I absolutely cannot wait to assemble the year together in a few weeks and see it all in printed form. I am sure it will make me cry!
Prior to using Project Life I would tell people I was a scrapbooker, but in all honesty I was probably more of a hoarder of cute embellishments and papers. Every once in awhile I would complete a layout, but the only thing I ever did with consistency was December Daily. (I am in the middle of year number four!) SO GLAD that’s all changed. Like anything, once you get in the rhythm it’s no extra effort at all to jot down a quote or take a photo with a phone. So easy. So…..if you are on the fence, CLIMB OVER IT. Drink the kool-aid. I am telling you–it really is a very liberating and easy way to get your memories down.
Thank you again for stopping by today–I hope that you will continue to do so throughout the year. Before you go, I invite you to take a look around and view the layouts I have completed so far. I posted every single week of this past year right here on the blog, or you can view them on my pinterest board. If you are on Facebook I would love for you to visit my page and become a fan. (Facebook is where I will do a majority of my posting this coming year, besides this blog.)
As I mentioned above, I am all digital. (Which, incidentally, is WAY easier to do than you think. If the computer intimidates you–seriously don’t let that stop you. I had no idea how to do any of this just a short time ago, and all I did was buy a pdf course online and I taught myself. Honestly…there are really only 4-5 commands I use in photoshop, nothing I do is too crazy! If you have ANY questions ask away. I also saw that Jessica Sprague is offering a class.) I am a few days behind on December Daily, which for some reason is the only time I scrap really “fancy,” but I just happen to have my week 50 for Project Life already completed. This will give you a good idea of what you will see from me throughout the year.

I am finding that Project Life in December is super, super fun. These weeks are coming together so easy, as I enjoy the embellishments and papers that are all holiday themed. The silhouettes you see above are actually of my girls (I do silhouette ornaments each year for our tree). If you are interested in making your own this tutorial is how I do it.
Congratulations to all of my fellow team members. It’s going to be a GREAT year!
Have a happy Monday!
