Welcome to Week Thirty-One! Each week I share my most recent Project Life spread, it’s truly become one of my favorite things about this website. If you have stopped by my blog before, welcome back! If you are new you can learn more about how to get started with digital project life by checking out some of my past posts. My most popular digital memory-keeping posts have been Project Life Tips (written after my first six months of scrapbooking) and Digital Project Life Tips which is filled with links to some great tutorials online that are free AND will have you up and going in no time digitally. All of my digital project life pages are here on my blog, or for an even easier way to view them follow me on Pinterest. One thing you will notice that is different about my layouts is that I use a double-mat effect for all of my pages. If you are interested in learning how to resize your Becky Higgins templates to create this look, and would like a free download of my template, check out this post. Now onto my most current spread!
What we were up to this week: We visited the library, hung out at home, girls went to The Farm, and I sailed around Lake Minnetonka on one of the prettiest summer days ever.
Techniques used this week: Just photos and brushes. Is there any better combo?
DSLR Photos Vs Iphone Photos: 1:8 It is just so much easier to use my iPhone at times!
Favorite Photo of the Week: Unfortunately it’s the one shaded out. Private moment, big milestone. A close second is the one of Marie behind the tree. Nothing like a game of peek-a-boo to get a genuine smile out of her. (Particularly considering that now, whenever she sees my camera or iphone up and poised to take a photo, she screams NO and runs in the other direction. I wish I was kidding.)
Other thoughts: I love this project. Seriously, it never gets old. But I am–for the first time this year–behind about two weeks. This project is definitely (for me) not as fun when I am not current with it. I tend to just throw it together in a rush, just to get it completed, and I know I am forgetting things and/or not even bothering to go into too much detail because I want to be caught up. Summertime is just so darn busy!
Supplies used this week: Project Life Digital Jade Kit and Everyday Stamps from Lori Whitlock. (Oh and of course an Ali Embraching the Everyday Brush.) Those Everyday Stamps from Lori Whitlock are my most favorite brushes ever. Definitely check them out. I linked to just one set, but there are at least two I believe.
