Welcome to Week Thirty-Two! Each week I share my most recent Project Life spread, it’s truly become one of my favorite things about this website. (This week I have already posted a week, but since I am playing catch up I am ready to share another!) If you have stopped by my blog before, welcome back! If you are new you can learn more about how to get started with digital project life by checking out some of my past posts. My most popular digital memory-keeping posts have been Project Life Tips (written after my first six months of scrapbooking) and Digital Project Life Tips which is filled with links to some great tutorials online that are free AND will have you up and going in no time digitally. All of my digital project life pages are here on my blog, or for an even easier way to view them follow me on Pinterest. One thing you will notice that is different about my layouts is that I use a double-mat effect for all of my pages. If you are interested in learning how to resize your Becky Higgins templates to create this look, and would like a free download of my template, check out this post. Now onto my most current spread!
What we were up to this week: Summer camp during the week and parties on the weekend. I have said it before, and I will say it again, Holly’s social calendar is 10X busier (and more fun) than mine!
Techniques used this week: I think I am really in a groove with my brushes, and I used a ghosted journaling box again as well. I can really tell that I have found my style, I am no longer in experimentation mode and rely on the same tried and true techniques to get me through the week. This week I used the neapolitan mini-kit of cards to complete my spread, so to get the brown “card stock” in the background I simply recolored the template background to match the colors in the cards. (The inner mat paper is from the Kraft Core Kit.)
DSLR Photos Vs Iphone Photos: 8:4 The whole left side is iphone, the whole right side my DSLR.
Favorite Photo of the Week: I don’t know if I can even narrow down a favorite. Not only do I love just about every photo from the cowboy party–there are TONS that are going in inserts that you haven’t even seen yet. Coolest party ever. Can’t wait for you to see them all! But…if I had to pick….I suppose I would say the mustache photo. For whatever reason Holly LOVED that mustache and wore it all.day.long!
Other thoughts: I love this project.
