Welcome to Week 29! We are at, or probably past, the mid-point of summer and I couldn’t be more excited. Lots of things in store for August. I turn 40 (eeeek!), we have a family vacation planned on the North Shore, a visit back to New York for a wedding, and of course our annual visit to the MN State Fair. I am daydreaming about the fries, cookies, and malts already!!!
What we were up to this week: Fun at the pool, trips to camp, fun around the house, and a re-focus on my business.
Techniques used this week: Still loving my brushes–even putting a whole ton of the same brush on my title card this week. I have started to play around a bit with the color of text on photos. Most of the time I use black or white but lately it seems that some of the text, no matter what color I choose, will not show up in places. I have started to selectively recolor some of the test to a color within the photo…and I kind of like it. To me it doesn’t even stand out that the whole bit of text isn’t the same, it almost appears as if it’s part of the photo. (The photo of Holly in the lower right of the right side is an example of this.)
DSLR Photos Vs Iphone Photos: 5:5 Even steven this week.
Favorite Photo of the Week: The photo of Marie at the split rail fence with the wagon wheel. I saw her walking towards it (there are horses on the other side she is fascinated with) and I knew it was going to make for a cute photo. When she’s in overalls to boot….how could it not?
Other thoughts: I love this project. Love, love, love it. Have a I said that enough lately?
Supplies used this week: Most of the supplies are in the icons below.
