Digital Project Life 2014 : Week Twenty-Seven

Welcome to Week Twenty-Seven! I haven’t yet posted weeks 21-26 as some are done and some are not. I haven’t had a lot of crafty time as of late, but hope to in the near future. I just made a huge IKEA run and am setting up an adorable studio upstairs I can’t wait to show off!

If you have stopped by my blog before, welcome back! If you are new you can learn more about how to get started with digital project life by checking out some of my past posts. My most popular digital memory-keeping posts have been Project Life Tips (written after my first six months of scrapbooking) and Digital Project Life Tips which is filled with links to some great tutorials online that are free AND will have you up and going in no time digitally. All of my digital project life pages are here on my blog, or for an even easier way to view them follow me on Pinterest. One thing you will notice that is different about my layouts is that I use a double-mat background for all of my pages. If you are interested in learning how to resize your Becky Higgins templates to create this look, and would like a free download of my template, check out this post.

What we were up to this week: Celebrating the Fourth of July, going on some urban excursions, and Ree’s first “official” haircut and photoshoot.

New techniques/ideas used this week: Nothing new and fancy this week. I have been doing this long enough now that it is actually hard to come up with new stuff to do when the old stuff works so well!

DSLR Photos Vs Iphone Photos: 4:4

Favorite Photo of the Week: LOVE Ree’s pose on Summit Avenue. She was a PRO that afternoon–seriously the easiest two year old ever. The funniest thing about that afternoon? When we arrived at the shooting location I picked her up out of the car, set her on the ground, and as we walked she said, “This is so exciting!!!”

Other thoughts:  It doesn’t have to be complicated to be cute. I just added some brushes and wrote on the cards and BAM. Done.

Supplies used this week: Project Life Happy Kit. My usual brushes….one of these days I am going to do a “my favorite embellishments/brushes for Project Life” post so I can, once and for all, have it all written out in one place!

  • mitchmac - Could you also mention your favourite fonts – I love the school-type one you’ve used here?ReplyCancel

  • Heather - That font is called Skinny Jeans. It’s a free font that Rebecca Cooper linked up awhile back on her blog. I downloaded a bunch that day–she has a great eye!ReplyCancel

  • Alecia - how did you enlarge the one photo (on left page) to cover the the 3 squares? I have Photoshop element, and I want to take one 4×6 and have it fit the entire template.
    thanks!ReplyCancel
