Digital Project Life : Week Fifty-Two

And……it’s a wrap! I sit here, stunned and so very excited, that I completed the whole thing. This is HUGE for me!!! It will be interesting to see just how long it takes me to assemble it (remember I was initially going to make it a Shutterfly book–but may change my mind and print out the 12x12s), I am going to hope I get it all done by the end of January.

I am very anxious to put together a 2013 title page, but first let’s take a look at the last week of 2012. This week was very light on photos, even though it included Christmas, because I had pneumonia over the holiday. (I even posted a very scary photo of myself to prove how sick I was!)

Right Side:

Love Holly’s note for Santa, particularly the little round bellied Santa she drew at the bottom. We put granola in mini ice cream cone cups–it was so neat to see them half eaten and all over the kitchen table when we woke up!

Left Side:

This page has A LOT of Holly in it, I guess that is how it goes sometimes. I try not to get hung up on making sure “all is even,” as it always ends up working out. (Plus, I can’t give myself one more thing to think about during the week!)

Off to dig into my Seafoam kit. I haven’t even looked at it yet, and I am SO EXCITED to start fresh!

Amy O'H. - Lovely pages and memories- except the sick part (boo!). I’ll be checking back to see what you do for printing. I recently ordered a book that was about 20 pages from our summer vacation. I was disappointed with how much of one edge they cut off. So I will need to resize my pages which are 12×12 so they are slightly smaller…. not exactly sure how much though. I also ordered a few prints of the 12 x 12 pages and may just build my own binder.

admin - Hi Amy,

I did a post on this last January–check out here for all of the sizing. I ran into trouble my very first photobook years ago, and then learned that their pages are indeed just a touch smaller than 12×12 AND you have to make sure that you use their psd templates so you have guidelines. (I had a bunch of elements cut off!) Here is the link to that blogpost: http://hgjphotography.com/category/digital-memory-keeping/project-life/page/11/

Amy O'H. - Thanks for the link, Heather! Clearly, I need to spend more time mining your past posts- what great information! BTW- I found you through the new designer announcement on Becky Higgins site- congratulations!

Amy O'H. - Heather, I wanted to come back and let you know that I received an order for a few 12 by 12 pages from Persnickety Prints and LOVE them. Great quality and fabulous color. So, I decided to print my pages and put them in sleeves in a binder. I immediately ordered all of my completed pages for 2012 on Friday from them and they came today (from Utah to Florida)! Now, each month I can order the pages I have completed. It feels like a relief since getting a whole book together and making sure I didn’t forget anything was feeling like a lot of pressure. Thanks again for the information. Looking forward to following you in 2013!

admin - Amy–I am so glad to hear that! They are just a wonderful company and the only place I will order from. I envy you….I still haven’t ordered my pages, and to be truthful I still go back and forth with what to do!! Here’s to a great 2013:)

libbywilko - Sorry to hear you got so sick, we also came down with sickness right after Christmas and it was pretty hard being stuck in bed while everyone else were off having family fun. I love these last pages they are so bright clean and colourful. Hope you are now 100%.
