Really glad I was able to get this wrapped up last night, my current process to getting my album done really helped me there. If I did all of this on Sunday, or even Monday as so many others do, I guarantee you I would get behind. (And for me behind is a real danger zone. Whenever I get behind in something there is a really strong probability I will never catch up again!)
This week was full of stories and quotes from our visit from my Aunt Holly, we always have such a great time when she comes to town! This week was also full of stories about Holly’s bout with the Chicken Pox and Marie’s trials with sleep training. (I really choose quite the week for that didn’t I!?) This week I used Design A again for my left side:
For my right side I choose a new template, Design F. I really liked it–there are so many spots for different photos and quotes–plus a large spot for journaling, I think I will be using it again in the near future!
I noticed as I was putting this together that this week, like a lot of previous weeks, has been fairly light on Marie. This isn’t my intent, I think because she is still so young/can’t sit up/can’t speak yet it’s just easier for the book to fill up with Holly-isms and photos. I am trying not to feel guilty about it, and trying to get better at noticing the little things that Marie CAN do so that she is represented as well. Would love any feedback or ideas on things to look for or include!
While I am not behind on my weekly layouts, I am behind in my monthly mosaics and letters to the girls. I don’t have January’s pages finished, or February’s even started. My goal is to get them done this week!
There was no rhyme or reason to my color scheme this week. I didn’t use a kit–just grabbed from here or there, using my homemade card stock for the background again. Guess it’s hard to be inspired when I am exhausted!
