It’s the halfway point.
It blows my mind that we are already halfway through 2013–didn’t spring just arrive? (In Minnesota that really isn’t a crazy question. If I remember correctly we had quite a bit of snow the first week of May, and didn’t climb over 60 degrees until a week later than that!) I am not ready to hang my shorts up yet…but have to be honest. I am already looking for back to school sales. Sort of ready to dive back into routine and my favorite time of year. I adore fall, and as it draws closer I get more and more excited.
Anyhow….onto week 26. For the first time in a long time I used something other than a Project Life Kit. This week I used one of Paislee Press’ recent kits–Road Trip. Holly and I took a very special road trip together this week to see the birthplace of Laura Ingalls Wilder…there are not many photos of it in the spread, but wait until you see the insert!! (It’s not done yet, but when it is I will share.)
What we were up to this week: Hospital runs, breakfasts, time outside, road trips, and a date weekend for Justin and I. Jam-packed but a lot of fun!
Techniques used this week: Brushes and more brushes. And ghosted text boxes again. Perhaps I should start looking into some new techniques! I always do the same thing, but boy do I like how it looks:)
DSLR Photos Vs Iphone Photos: 3:8. Go iphone. Go iphone. I even got a new one this week–all because of the camera! I had debris inside my phone somehow, and constantly had spots on my photos, so I decided to bring it to the Apple store to see what they could do. The replaced it for free! Love not having to photoshop so much! The DSLR did get quite a workout in Pepin however. Almost all of those photos were
Favorite Photo of the Week: My pioneer girl through the window. I was standing inside “Laura’s cabin” and thought it would be really cute to take a shot of her looking through the paned glass. Not only my favorite photo of the week, but one of my faves from our whole road trip. (And if you are wondering, no I didn’t make her wear her outfit. She insisted on bringing it and wearing it!!)
Other thoughts: Too tired this week for other thoughts:) Well…that’s not entirely true. I have a half written post regarding PL thoughts and tips….this will most likely appear Wednesday.
Supplies used this week: Will update tomorrow with a source list.
